From our smaller size to our family-inspired atmosphere, Sonoma House offers a true home for your loved one. We designed Sonoma House to feel warm, inviting and safe—just like home.
Exceptional care begins with an exceptional setting. Our community is made up of individual houses set along a private, tree-lined street. Each beautifully landscaped home features a large front porch and a shaded backyard that invites quiet moments with nature. A walking path connects the homes, allowing neighbors to visit one another just as they would in a traditional neighborhood. Each home consists of:
In this close-knit environment, residents forge close bonds with each other and our staff—and we are empowered to provide superior care and personal attention. This is the Sonoma House difference.
Sonoma House fosters a sense of community. Each house includes common living areas, open kitchens and communal gardens. Staff members are dedicated to a specific house but are not confined to restricted roles, ensuring they have the latitude to care for and interact with residents just as they would their own families.
The idea of person-centered care is a simple one: People flourish when they have meaningful relationships and interactions with others. Everything about Sonoma House, from our architecture to our hiring practices, is put in place to build these reciprocal one-on-one relationships between residents and caregivers, neighbors and family members.
Each of our residents is unique, with his/her own preferences, values and needs. While many traditional facilities require residents to conform to rigid schedules, we celebrate freedom of choice. Residents can sleep in when they please, socialize and mingle, enjoy an afternoon snack, and go about their lives as they would in their own home.
Sonoma House was founded as a private, not-for-profit community by individuals with decades of elder care experience. We are family owned and operated and have a vested interest in our residents’ health, happiness and success.
“I cannot thank you enough for all you did to make my mom’s last year so comfortable. We know she was a handful. Your whole staff were angels.”
